Federal prosecutors on Thursday unveiled a brand new indictment in opposition to Sam Bankman-Fried, charging the FTX founder with extra felony counts and making detailed allegations that he engaged in conduct that led to his alternate’s collapse.
The indictment, unsealed Thursday, costs the 30-year-old Bankman-Fried with 12 felony counts.
The prior indictment, which prosecutors introduced in December after a short investigation, charged him with eight. Bankman-Fried pleaded not responsible to the prior costs. A spokesman for Bankman-Fried didn’t instantly reply to a request for remark.
The brand new costs embody conspiracy to function an unlicensed money-transmitting enterprise and conspiracy to commit financial institution fraud.
