Authorities clears Chief Justice appointments, transfers


The federal government cleared the switch of Tripura Excessive Courtroom Chief Justice A.A. Kureshi to the Rajasthan Excessive Courtroom on Saturday.

The switch was one among the many 13 transfers and appointments of Chief Justices to varied Excessive Courts. They’re a part of a serious reshuffle orchestrated by the Supreme Courtroom Collegium led by Chief Justice N.V. Ramana.

September had seen over 100 suggestions for appointments, transfers and re-transfers in varied Excessive Courts despatched from the Collegium to the Authorities for approval.

Chief Justice Ramana has emphasised that his Collegium is on the warpath to refill the long-pending vacancies within the Excessive Courts and urged the Authorities to work along with the judiciary to resolve the suggestions.

The Authorities has been responding with a gentle stream of approvals prior to now few days. The clearance within the 13 Excessive Courts was thought of essential as a few of them have been making do with Performing Chief Justices.

Eight Excessive Courts would get new Chief Justices. Justice Rajesh Bindal, Performing Chief Justice of Calcutta Excessive Courtroom, was appointed because the Chief Justice of the Allahabad Excessive Courtroom. Justice Ranjit V. Extra has been appointed because the Chief Justice of the Meghalaya Excessive Courtroom.

Justice Satish Chandra Sharma, Performing Chief Justice of the Karnataka Excessive Courtroom, has been appointed because the Chief Justice of the Telangana Excessive Courtroom.

Justice Prakash Srivastava, a Madhya Pradesh Excessive Courtroom choose, has been appointed because the Chief Justice of the Calcutta Excessive Courtroom.

Justice R.V. Malimath has been appointed because the Chief Justice of the Madhya Pradesh Excessive Courtroom. He’s presently the Performing Chief Justice of the Himachal Pradesh Excessive Courtroom. Justice Ritu Raj Awasthi has been appointed because the Chief Justice of the Karnataka Excessive Courtroom.

Justice Aravind Kumar has been appointed because the Chief Justice of the Gujarat Excessive Courtroom. Justice Prashant Kumar Mishra would take over because the Chief Justice of the Andhra Pradesh Excessive Courtroom. 5 Chief Justices, together with Justice Kureshi, have been transferred.

Justice Indrajit Mahanty, Chief Justice of the Rajasthan Excessive Courtroom, would take over as Tripura Chief Justice. Justice A.Ok. Goswami has been appointed because the Chief Justice of the Chhattisgarh Excessive Courtroom. He’s presently the Chief Justice of Andhra Pradesh Excessive Courtroom.
